Hooorayyyy today Mandela turns 95.
Going down memory Lane I remember watching this movie SARAFINA as a child , I can still envision myself weeping profusely at the sufferings and the ill treatments meted out on locals. Imagine being a slave in your father's house? That is what Africans in SA experienced.
But thanks to Our ever brave and courageous Madiba who looked the white men in the eye, not minding the outcome of such confrontation which often times led to death. Screamed Enough is enough, Enough of the rape, killings, mutilation, apartheid, Enough of this.... hmmmmmmmmmmm
Personally I want to Say BRAVO MADIBA our very own Abraham Lincoln. Though your body may be frail as I write this piece ; I want you to know that the 95 years you have spent so far on earth were not wasted, You gave hope to the hopeless, You gave us back our freedom, you forsook the comfort of your home to be held in a prison cell for over 27 years...... I will always remember you PAPA Africa.
Happy Birthday to you my Great and Wise One.
May your days on Earth be painless and stress-less.
